Shenmue III is one of the games that is releasing this Summer, together with a few others like Remedy’s Control and Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds which I’m highly anticipating.

Anyway, as it’s been for the entire project thus far, the title is still shying away from both the press and the players, with very little gameplay that has been showcased until now.

Things are about to change, though, since Shenmue III is set to be playable at E3 2019, which happens in slightly more than a month from now.

As always with this game, the process won’t be as easy as you would expect, since Deep Silver is at the moment granting a playable demo for the press only, and no other details about whether people who’ll be visiting E3 will get to play it too or not.

The news was shared on Twitter by the editor in chief at website GameZoneOnline, who also said that “Deep Silver’s E3 bookings don’t mention Dead Island 2 so what’s the god damn point of even going,” should you be interested in another long-awaited title from the same publisher.

“Just for the press,” he further clarified about Shenmue III. “Not sure what the situation on the show floor will be for everyone else, they’ll likely announce it closer to E3.”

So, since there’s still a bit of time before the E3 2019 kicks off, there’s a real chance that Deep Silver will make it clearer for the regular visitors if they get to play Shenmue 3 ahead of the launch, slated for August 27, 2019.

Are you going to E3 2019, and would like to check the game out? Let us know in the comments below.
