Transport yourself to Dracula’s castle in this gory, no-holds-barred teaser trailer for the new BBC television series inspired by Bram Stroker’s Dracula. So, take a look… if you dare! But be warned, this isn’t for the faint of heart.

The broad synopsis is as follows,

It was officially announced this past June that the Sherlock writers and producers would be working together on another literary adaptation. This is the first time since the end of Sherlock that Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat, and Sue Vertue’s Hartswood Films have worked together creatively. And from the looks of the trailer below, fans are in for a terrifyingly delicious treat!

The Dracula series will premiere on BBC One in Ireland and the United Kingdom, but it will be available on Netflix for those in other countries. While Gatiss and Moffat are no stranger to BBC, they are excited to bring Dracula to the small screen, “There have always been stories about great evil. What’s special about Dracula, is that Bram Stoker gave evil its own hero.”

As of right now, BBC’s take on the wildly popular vampire tale has yet to receive a release date or even a release window. However, much like BBC’s Sherlock, Dracula’s first season will consist of three full-length episodes. But we’ll be keeping our eye on Netflix for that release date!
