Darkest Dungeon 2 hits the road, leaving behind the Estate and town that players of the original Darkest Dungeon called home. Players must build a party of four and travel via wagon to the sinister mountain in the distance. Along the way, they will encounter obstacles and monsters alike. One thing the player may notice on their journey is various piles of rubble in the road.
Players may be wondering if they should hit these piles of rubble or avoid them. The answer is that the player should absolutely hit them. Darkest Dungeon 2 has a brutal and challenging reputation, so players may assume that hitting these rubble piles will have negative consequences or damage the cart somehow.
This is not the case. Hitting the piles of rubble have a chance of awarding the player items to help them on their journey. Since items are far and few between, players should endeavor to hit as many rubble piles as possible to fill their inventory.
The wagon can be tricky to control, especially at first. Turning or moving side to side is slow and trying to turn on a dime isn’t possible. Players should start their turns early to hit rubble piles and straighten out sooner than they might think. Staying in the center of the road is a good strategy, too, as it allows the player to hit rubble on either side easier.
