In a game so focused on your martial art skills, players might just go through the game battling each enemy, and especially the bosses, to the death. This is not the only way to go through the game, however, with players having the ability to spare the bosses, which leads to a different ending to the game. This process will require the player to jump through a hoop or two, but it is pretty straightforward once you know how to do it, though that doesn’t make it easy. How To Spare Bosses In Sifu

When you are in a boss fight in Sifu, there are two meters that players will need to focus on: The Health Bar and the Structure Bar. The former is self-explanatory, while the latter can be thought of as a stagger or stun meter. The first step to sparing one of the bosses is to get them to their second phase, which is done by depleting their Health Bar. You will know that you have entered their second phase since a cutscene will play between the two phases. Now, you will want to make sure that you do not entirely deplete their Health Bar here as this will kill the boss. Instead, you will want to focus on filling the Structure Bar twice. The first time you do this, you will see a prompt to press a button combo, don’t do it. To build the Structure Bar effectively, you will want to hit the opponent into walls and rely heavily on parries. Once you have broken the boss’s Structure Bar twice in their second phase, you will be given a prompt to spare them. Doing so will reward you with a talisman, which is used to get the alternate ending and is how you unlock the “Legendary Talismans of Wuxing” Trophy. Do this process in all the boss fights to spare all the bosses in Sifu.
