There’s nothing out there quite like a good survival horror experience, not only immersing you in the extreme need to survive but scaring you in the process (in one way or another). Just look at the Silent Hill games as a good example, bringing about not only all these elements but a great and thought-provoking story as well. There’s plenty out there for sure, but only a select few manage to breach the fold and provide something truly unique and memorable for their fans. While it isn’t out yet, SIGNALIS from Humble Games and rose-engine seems to be leaning towards the better side of that spectrum. You can check out the first trailer for the collaboration below!

A Mere Replika in the Cogs of a Dark World

Thrust into the shoes of Elster, a technician Replika, you must search for your lost dreams in some of the most dangerous places. With a dark secret ready to unfold, plenty of puzzles to solve, and enemies straight out of your darkest nightmares, a lot is working against your success. That’s not to say you can’t fight back though, as despite being a technician, you’re particularly skilled with a pistol and weapons of the sort. While all sorts of apparitions dare to prevent you from reaching your goal, the most skilled players will be able to fight back and ensure you keep moving forward. All of this, across a grunge world, lit with strong, infrequent red lights signaling this place is far from your bright neighborhood you may be familiar with. It’s an endearing concept, and one we can’t wait to see flourish.
