Silent Hill is a horror-themed franchise that has been players’ favorite since its release in 1999. Since Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012, there hasn’t been a good title in the survival-horror series. However, today, the first images of the supposed Silent Hill 2 Remake have surfaced online. The reliable leaker on Twitter shows what the Bloober Team game developed in partnership with Konami looks like. It is also rumored that Konami may announce the new title at the Tokyo Game Show 2022.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Gameplay Footage Revealed

The Medium and Layers of Fear developer Bloober Team may be working on the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Since Bloober and Konami signed a collaboration, the rumor has been widely circulated, the details of which we still don’t know. There have been rumors that Konami has many games in development and has enormous intentions for Silent Hill. Now, several allegedly low-quality remake photos are making the rounds online.

Unlike the earlier images, which appeared with locations, specifics, and artwork, these appear to come from gameplay. As you can see, the protagonist (Harry Mason or James Sunderland, depending on whether it is the remake of the first or the second) is taken from actual gameplay footage.

The leaks appear to be a third-person mode taken from behind the character, exploring dark locations. Even though the resolution is too low to grasp anything, the atmosphere appears to be moving in the appropriate direction.

On the other hand, according to the VGC editor Andy Robinson, Silent Hill 2 is already under development, and the series will continue with a new story. He also claimed that the Silent Hill reveal may be sooner than expected.

Tokyo Game Show 2022 will take place between September 15 and 18. Moreover, Konami will take the stage at this year’s event. So, we expect at least to see Silent Hill Remake or the brand-new Metal Gear Solid.
