Horror game fans have still not been able to get over the loss of Silent Hill’s sequel. But the mind blowing playable teaser released years ago is kept alive by fans to this day. Rumors of a Silent Hill game have been going around for a long time now, but nothing concrete has come to fruition at the time of writing. Definitely not related to Halo Infinite.

One such rumor came from the director of the Silent Hill movie that believes that Konami is planning on exhuming the franchise. And as past experience suggests, when fans can’t wait for something for long enough, they decide to take matters into their own hands.

PT in Halo Infinite

The resourcefulness of the video game community knows no bounds, as many fans have remade the now canceled Silent Hill’s playable teaser, PT in many different ways.

DeathTemplar is one such fan, who has remade PT within the unfinished Forge mode of Halo Infinite.

The video shows him walking around the PT corridor within Halo Infinite. The game doesn’t function completely like the original, so no scary monsters can be found anywhere. But the striking atmosphere of Hideo Kojima’s demo from 2014 is astounding.

You can still hear the horrifying sounds from the original game, but the gameplay is somewhat hampered by not having the infinite loop anymore. This is probably due to the difficulty of working on such a project with less than ideal tools.

What is Halo Infinite’s Forge Mode?

Halo Infinite’s Forge mode isn’t even out yet, and technically shouldn’t even be available to the masses. But the upcoming mode was leaked, and once a creative tool like that gets out, there’s no stopping fans.

Forge mode is meant to allow players to make custom maps for Halo Infinite. Something like this was bound to get all the creativity out of players. Another player once used Dreams to remake the PT demo as well.

Its clear that Silent Hill is still very popular, so maybe its high time that someone finally brings the franchise back to life.
