Kody Brown clamors for patriarchy. Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives presented Kody holding a meeting with his family. The reality star expressed displeasure on how his polygamous family has lost its unity.

Surprisingly, towards the end of the meeting, Christine announced her plans of ending her marriage to Kody. This announcement to terminate her marriage to Kody made him feel sad. However, the TLC star wants the rest of his wives to submit to patriarchy.

Why Does Kody Brown Want His Wives To Conform To Patriarchy?

Following Christine’s announcement to quit her marriage to Kody, The family had a lengthy discussion. During the conversation, Kody declared that he has decided to take his rightful position as the head of his home. The TV star also revealed that he will no longer condone any form of disrespect in the marriage. Consequently, he stated that anyone who wants to be in the marriage must be willing to conform to patriarchy again.

According to Yahoo, Kody’s reason for wanting his wives to submit to patriarchy is because he feels not taking his place as the head of the family is what developed disunity. However, he hopes to restore the former unity that the family once shared. His second wife reacted to Kody’s policy, saying that it was not part of the agreement from the beginning. Likewise, the fourth wife hopes that everyone takes their commitment seriously.

A Glimpse Into Kody’s Marriage

The TV star got married to Meri legally in 1990. He also had a spiritual marriage with Janelle in 1993. Afterward, the relationship between Kody and Christie began. The duo got married in a spiritual wedding in 1994.

In 2010, Robyn joined the Brown family. Although she has been married before and had three kids from her previous marriage; Kody divorces Meri so that he could adopt Robyn’s children legally. Neither Janelle nor Christie were legally married to Kody. This implies that Robyn is the only legitimate wife of the Sister Wives star.
