SK hynix Gold S31 Solid State Hard Drive Review
SK Hynix is a company you may or may not have heard of before. This company is known for making many of the OEM storage drives you might find in prebuilt computers such as Dell and other companies.
They also are known for supplying DRAM and flash-memory chips as well as raw materials to those who make SSDs and other technology.
The Gold S31 SSD is the first retail hard drive from SK Hynix and we are here to take a look at it.
When you think of hard drive, you think of Samsung, WD or Toshiba. SK hynix has not really been a retail option until the Gold S31 SSD was released.

SK hynix Gold S31 Solid State Hard has a 2.5-inch form factor and has an aluminum chassis including the standard mounting points. It is labeled to easily which side is top and bottom. With the aluminum chassis, it serves as its own heatsink and puts off very little heat.
This SSD also has an in-house 3D NAND+Controller+DRAM which makes it perform very well.
Verdict:
The SK hynix Gold S31 Solid State Hard Drive is a solid choice for a hard drive. Even though this is their first retail hard drive available, the company has been around for a long time and has been making storage devices for computers for a while.
The price is comparable to other similar hard drives and the 5-year warranty is a little longer than many of the other hard drives.
This would be a great choice if you’re looking for this type of hard drive.
