Most of the time all the news we hear is surprising. Today, we have one that is not as shocking as others. The pirate-themed game: Skull and Bones is getting its first delay of 2023. We say the first one because we don’t think the game will happen any time soon or ever. The game had its first announcements all the way back in 2017. At that time, it seemed like the perfect competitor against Sea of Thieves, and that looked great. After all, it would be using the naval system from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. Well, things have not gone as planned, and the delays just keep coming.

Skull and Bones gets its sixth delay with a release window of 2023 or 2024

Some people were already expecting the game to launch this year. With a presentation that was underwhelming, some gamers were still hopeful for the title. Well, it seems that won’t happen at all now. While there is a new episode of The Deck coming this Friday, we don’t even know what to expect anymore. In the last showcase, people didn’t like what they saw. This could point to why early in 2023 Skull and Bones got another delay. Maybe to iron some things out or to change many of what they showed.

Exciting times are on the horizon as we start the year with a fresh episode of The Deck 👀#SkullandBones

Ubisoft Quietly Brings More Games To Steam

Times have not been so great for Ubisoft as of late. The Prince of Persia Remake was also not well received by the audience, and we have no clue what they want to do with that. Right now, the studio is placing its hopes in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed games and whatever it is planning for Star Wars. So, while there are some projects out there, it is sad to see that this pirate-themed game might never get here. However, you can still tune in for the next episode of The Deck this Friday to see what Ubisoft is working on for the game.
