The beloved fighting game, Skullgirls, is getting its inaugural season pass! Recently, Hidden Variable and Auto Games announced on Steam that Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be getting Season 1 Pass sometime in March 2021. This was revealed along with the announcement of the Annie DLC Steam Early Access date, which looks to be March of this year as well.
Just a heads up, there will be a sale that comes with Annie’s release. Once the updates and the DLC have been released, Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be 9.99 USD while Season 1 Pass will be priced at 29.99 USD.
Skullgirls Season 1 Pass
The first-ever season pass of Skullgirls will include:
- DLC: Annie
- DLC: TBA Character 2
- DLC: TBA Character 3
- DLC: TBA Character 4
- Season Pass Exclusive Palette Pack
- DLC: Skullgirls OST (including the new Annie Track)
- DLC: Skullgirls Digital Art Compendium (Fully Updated)
All characters obtained via DLC will have their own stage, music, palettes, and story mode.
Annie DLC
In terms of Annie, she will be available for Early Access in March 2021, like to be released on a similar time frame as Skullgirls’ Season 1 Pass. Annie’s full release will not be until May of this year. Due to “external platform dependencies”, the developers are not able to lock in a specific date at this time.
Regarding the Annie DLC, the developers write:
These updates will include bug fixes, “quality of life” changes, and of course balance adjustments to make sure Annie fits in smoothly. They’ve noted that all these updates will be available to all Skullgirls players even if they don’t own the DLC. For owners of the original Skullgirls, that means a free upgrade to Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
Skullgirls is available on Switch, PS4, Android, iOS, and PC. Season Pass 1 will be priced at 34.99 USD but will have a discounted launch price as mentioned above.
