Ahead of the 2023 HELLCARD release, Skystone Games has announced its partnership with Thing Trunk developers in the game’s release. HELLCARD game will be another entry of Thing Trunk, following the vastly successful 2018 release, Book of Demons game. The new entry is expected to release in early 2023 on PC.

About HELLCARD Game

HELLCARD is a roguelike deck builder that uses the same Paperverse principle as Book of Demons. The game allows players to choose between single and multiplayer game modes. In either mode, your task is to defeat the Archdemon and other armies of darkness. To succeed in this mission, you must compete in strategic fast-paced card combats.

In gameplay, multiplayer mode allows simultaneous moves for up to three players. In this strategy, players gain a positional advantage over teammates and monsters to defeat challenges. Similarly, a player can engage in battles alongside Computer-controlled recruits or enter the paper dungeons alone in single-player mode.

HELLCARD developers attribute the uniqueness of this card game to the strategic placement options. If you choose to play in strategic challenges, you can position your players suitably. Additionally, each hero has a different set of strengths and weaknesses. Sharpen your skills, and you can gain the endurance to withstand and defeat the Archdemon.

Skystone Games and Thing Trunk Partnership

According to Konstanty Kalicki of Thing Trunk, the company is happy to partner with Skystone Games on HELLCARD and is optimistic about its results. He praises the company for its talent and expertise in the industry, making them quite a good joining force.

On the other hand, David Brevik, the Skystone President, says that his team is addicted to the entire structure of HELLCARD. Similar to the visual prowess in Book of Demons, Brevik adds that this feature also pulls them closer. Ultimately, Brevik promises to deliver HELLCARD to the public next year at its best.

Currently HELLCARD game is under development by Thing Trunk developers. However, today’s announcement adds a team of publishers to help market the game with the hope of reaching big masses. In the meantime, we are waiting for the game’s release early next year on PCs.
