The latest installment in the popular Sniper Elite series was released on May 26th. A new game named Sniper Elite 5 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is available for purchase on Steam, but according to Rebellion, it did not arrive on the Epic Games Store this week as planned due to ‘circumstances beyond control.’

Rebellion has apologized to players who were hoping to purchase Sniper Elite 5 on the Epic Games Store. The game has not been released this week along via the Epic Games Store, but it will do so at a later date yet to be specified.

Players were also able to pre-order Sniper Elite 5 here as normal, but for now, the title is still listed as “coming soon,” which is a bit odd.

Why Was Sniper Elite 5 Pulled from Epic Games Store?

Rebellion has addressed the situation through a statement offered to VGC. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, Sniper Elite 5 has not been available on the Epic Store at launch. But it will be released on that platform in the future,” confirmed the studio. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”

At the moment new Sniper Elite is right now listed on the Epic Games Store under a “coming soon” tag. We do not know if that future they are talking about will be these months or even 2022.

According to a popular theory currently circulating around social media, the game will not be available on the Epic Games Store until June 16th, 2022. This is when the current Epic Games Mega Sale ends, which includes a coupon that gives players 25 percent off.

The frustration many gamers might feel is understandable because the title is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, PS4, PS5, and PC on Steam and the Windows Store. If you want to experience the adventures of Karl Fairburne, you will need to either purchase the title or play it on Xbox Game Pass.
