If you’ve noticed a considerable dearth of classic games on your Nintendo Switch (likely due to the lack of a Virtual Console), then SNK’s upcoming compilation will be right up your alley.

The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is coming to the Switch, featuring at least 13 titles that have been confirmed already, and more to come. All of these titles were released back during the ’80s, and some may not be immediately familiar to you, but others are instantly recognizable.

Included in the preliminary list of games are titles like Crystalis, Ikari Warriors, Psycho Soldier, Vanguard, and Prehistoric Isle, all with some of the modern amenities we’ve come to expect from compilations of classic arcade games. For instance, you’ll be able to use save states so you can truly start and stop wherever you please, rewind the games at your leisure, and use redesigned controls that should make things a little easier.

If you’re the type of person who really appreciates older titles and the history behind them, you’ll also want to stroll through the included virtual SNK Museum, which will offer deep dives into SNK’s history with HD artwork and old promo materials, which sounds like a lot of fun.

Until we’ve got something that can act as a true analogue to the Virtual Console on the Switch, arcade game collections look like something we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of in the future. Unless there’s something coming that we don’t know about, however. Please, Nintendo?
