The Purple Hearts star Sofia Carson will star in the Netflix thriller film Carry On. She will star opposite Taron Egerton and Danielle Deadwyler, and Jason Bateman. The plot revolves around a young TSA agent named Ethan Kopek. He is blackmailed by a mysterious passenger to allow a package on a Christmas Day flight. No details have been released on who Sofia Carson will play in the film Carry On. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the Netflix thriller film. TJ Fixman wrote the draft for the screenplay but Michael Green will do the final touches. Dylan Clark is a producer of the film. This is the first film from the overall deal between Netflix and Amblin. Holly Bario, from Amblin, will oversee the project. Brian Williams is an executive producer of the film under Dylan Clark Productions, along with Scott Greenberg and Seth William Meier.
Sofia Carson Has Gone from a Disney Star to a Netflix Star
The young actor got her big break when she guest starred in the Disney show Austin & Ally. She later was in the MTV series Faking It. Sofia Carson snagged a lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants, as Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White. She reprised her role for the other two live-action sequels of the film and the animated special. She has gained further fame for her role in Purple Hearts. Her next role for Netflix is far from a romance. The Netflix thriller film Carry On is new territory for Sofia Carson. It at least shows that she isn’t being pigeonholed into one type of role. Very little has been released about the plot of the film Carry On, but at least it gives Sofia Carson another chance to wow audiences.
The Netflix thriller has no release date but will be available on the streaming service when it’s wrapped up.
