Unfortunate news for horror games fans. If you’re a PS4 or Xbox One owner that planned to play Song of Horror on Halloween, consider that plan scrapped. The developer Protocol Games and publisher Raiser Games have announced that Song of Horror console release date has been pushed back to Q1 2021. It was supposed to be released later this month.

Over on their official Twitter account, Raiser Games wrote that the decision to move Song of Horror console launch to the first quarter of 2021 is due to “multiple factors.” But they noted that one of them is to ensure that they can deliver the best, as close to the PC version, quality for their game.

Early last month, Raiser Games and Protocol Games promised to launch Song of Horror on PS4 and Xbox One on October 29. This third-person horror game was first launched on PC via Steam on 31 October 2019. It tells the sudden disappearance of a famed writer Sebastian P. Husher along with his entire family. Worried, his editor sent an assistant to his house, but as is the case with any spooky stories, he ends up missing as well. The only thing that came back is just a dark entity known only as The Presence instead.
