Paramount has officially revealed the final Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie trailer for the upcoming action-adventure film based on the iconic video game franchise. The film is set to release on April 8, and early access tickets are available now.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 final movie trailer was teased yesterday, March 13, 2022,  by the official Sonic Movie Twitter page as the “fastest” trailer, which sped through many scenes and images from this new trailer. It was difficult to tell what was actually happening without slowing down the reel, and many images were simply stand-ins that either didn’t appear in or had nothing to do with the content of the trailer itself, likely to avoid spoiling too much.

The official description for the new trailer reads:

“Check out the new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The upcoming movie stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Jim Carrey, Shemar Moore, Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. Sonic the Hedgehog 2, directed by Jeff Fowler, opens in US theaters on April 8, and in UK cinemas April 1”

Jeff Fowler is returning as the director of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from the first movie in 2019. Paramount also released a brand new HD theatrical release poster for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which is a  clear homage to the original box art for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 video game.
