Microsoft has announced that they will be hosting a contest to celebrate the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie, the upcoming live-action sequel to 2019’s Sonic the Hedgehog, featuring two custom Xbox Series S controllers and a console. Fans can either retweet the post made by Xbox or spend 200 Microsoft points in order to get a chance at winning the custom controllers and console.
We might need glasses because these controllers look fuzzy.

The rewards featured for the Sonic movie 2 contest are two Xbox Series S Controllers themed around Sonic and Knuckles, which have red and blue fur accents to present the characters, and an Xbox Series S console sporting the iconic ring from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The bottom features a screenshot from the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film showing Sonic and Knuckles butting heads, one of the scenes from the trailers.

Xbox and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to celebrate the upcoming film “Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ to release a limited time only, custom Xbox Series S console and Xbox Wireless Controllers through two enter-to-win sweepstakes, inspired by Sonic, voiced by Ben Schwartz, and Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba. The customized black Xbox Series S console featured the golden portal ring shining on its surface alongside the embossed Sonic the Hedgehog 2 log. With textured black coatings reminiscent of the bristly texture of hedgehogs in the wild, the new Xbox Wireless Controllers come in Sonic Blue and Knuckles Red”, a segment of the official blog post by Microsoft reads.
In order to win the contest, fans will need to either retweet the original tweet by Xbox and follow the official Xbox Twitter page for the duration of the contest or simply use their Microsoft points. Only one entry per person is allowed.
It should be noted that although the Tweet itself lists the deadline of the contest as April 4, 2022, a few days before Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is due to hit theatres, the official rules page lists the entry period as lasting until April 30, 2022. Whether this is a mistake, or the deadline has been changed is not clear at this time.
