If you have not bought a PlayStation 4 console yet, Sony is mentioning that 2016 should be the time you should finally get one.
2015 was still a strong year for the PlayStation 4 in terms of worldwide sales, but many games that pushed the system were from third-party studios. This is about to change in 2016 as a lot of exclusives will be from actual first-party developers.
SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida was interviewed by 4Gamer mentioning the outlook of the PlayStation 4 in 2016. He has high hopes that even more people will buy the console with the strong games lineup it has over the next 12 months.
He said: “2016 marks an unprecedented rush of big titles for PS4. It’s also the year of the long-awaited launch of PlayStation VR. It’s the year PS4 users, and those who are on the fence on whether to buy it will absolutely think “it’s good to have a PS4.” Please look forward to it.”
There are a lot of exclusives coming in 2016 that is sure to entice more people to buy the console. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is out as well as a new Ratchet and Clank game. There is also Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Last Guardian too. Not to mention the PlayStation VR debuts in 2016.
