Crash Bandicoot has been a hot topic ever since the PS4 first came out back in November 2013. Sony is aware of the high demand for a reboot, but sadly cannot say much more on the topic.

Official PlayStation Magazine had a chance to talk with SCEE boss, Jim Ryan, on a possible Crash Bandicoot revival but Ryan sadly didn’t want to give too much information away.

Ryan said: “Um…we’re certainly aware of the considerable affection — even reverence — in which the mighty Crash is held. But nothing to update at this stage in that area.”

Sony’s Adam Boyes recently confirmed on his Twitter account that Activision still owns the rights to the character although some are still skeptical about his answer. This is because a certain big PlayStation exclusive has an easter egg starring Crash Bandicoot.

Not to mention SCEA’s Shawn Layden fueled the fire back in December when he wore a Crash Bandicoot t-shirt at the PlayStation Experience event on-stage.

It’s possible Sony could have bought the rights back from Activision secretly. There are also rumors of a new PS4 Spider-Man game being made by Sony’s Suckerpunch Studios and Spidey was owned by Activision recently. Hopefully all of these rumors will finally be answered at E3 2016.
