This holiday season the PlayStation Vita will see its biggest lineup since launch that will be available to the public for public. Titles like Assassin’s Creed Liberation, Call of Duty Black Ops, LittleBigPlanet, and other titles are expected to give the PS Vita a lift in its first holiday season in markets outside of Japan.

Sony Computer Entertainment’s UK head believes that the PS Vita revolution is far from over, in fact the handheld has yet to hit the spot with the right software to take advantage of the robust hardware feature set.

Speaking with MCV, Fergal Gara thinks that feedback on the device has been wonderful. “For many consumers who’ve got their hands on it is positive – so that’s a very good start,” says Fergal. “The key thing for the rest of the year is the key software drive for the console as we look towards September, LittleBigPlanet, that really is taking the concept on another level because of the Vita functionality. And of course the other key big third party IPs Call of Duty, FIFA, Assassin’s Creed will do tremendous things for the Vita.”

Sony still believes that the ball is in their court, and that they need to give consumers a reason to pick up a Vita this holiday season. While there’s been no mention of a price drop for the console, that certainly wouldn’t hurt their cause.
