Sony is not hosting a Tokyo Game Show conference this year, going full circle with a year that has seen it skip E3 2019, Gamescom and PlayStation Experience. At least, as shared by GameSpot, the company will have a booth on the show floor for fans to go and enjoy some new games.
TGS is set to run from September 12 to 15 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and won’t have a press conference from one of the major players in the area, which might be considered a big hit for the event, even though it comes with a tiny surprise at this point.
Last year, Sony did host a press conference, even though it was a bit under the expectations of people waiting for a new E3 out of the E3 window. Among the games that were announced on that occasion, we can find Judgment, the Yakuza spin-off from SEGA, and the Kingdom Hearts VR Experience.
Coming to this year, instead, gamers who’ll reach the PlayStation booth will be able to play some Nioh 2, well ahead of its yet to be announced release window, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel’s Iron Man VR among the others.
Death Stranding will also be at the booth, although it won’t be playable, similarly to Gamescom. It’s going to be at the center of a mega-theater showing, which is likely set to reveal the same Briefing trailer that was reserved for the German event.
