The Last Guardian has certainly gone through the ringer over the years. Going from the initial reveal years ago that blew our minds to the lull of no information. Then earlier this year, rumors surfaced that the game had been canceled, which was quickly denied by Shuhei Yoshida and Sony. E3 and the Tokyo Game Show have both come and gone and neither brought us any new information, but a new interview with Shuhei Yoshida has at least brought us a little tease about the progress of the game.

In this interview with Weekly Famitsu, most everything was focused on other topics, such as the PlayStation 4. However, the interview was concluded with the question “What can you tell us about The Last Guardian?” Yoshida responded by saying “Development couldn’t be better,” before quickly saying the following:

“…That might be a bit of an exaggeration (laugh). We continue to work diligently on the game, so please look forward to it.”

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are two of my favorite games of all time, so I know I can’t wait to finally learn more about The Last Guardian. I know I am far from the only person to share that sentiment, so hopefully they will finally have something new to show us by maybe E3 2015.
