The rumors ended up being true as Sony will be holding an event next month to reveal the PS4 Neo console for the very first time.
As reported by Business Insider, Sony has started to send out invites to a press event happening on September 7th, 2016. It is being called a “PlayStation Meeting” where they will share details about the PlayStation business.
The PlayStation Meeting happens on September 7th, 2016 starting at 3 p.m. ET. It is being held at the PlayStation Theater in New York. It has been confirmed that the event will be livestreamed online, so everyone around the world can see what will be announced.
It’s highly likely the PS4 Neo will be announced so we will know what the specs of it will be. They might show off what the console looks like, although it could look similar to a normal PS4.
Reports suggest the console could be out before the end of the year to release alongside the PlayStation VR device. This might be a good idea as Sony will be ahead of the Nintendo NX and Xbox One Scorpio consoles out in 2017. Hopefully Sony shows the type of graphics the PS4 Neo can dish out.
