The Hibike! Euphonium Festival event announced early Saturday the return of Kyoto Animation‘s Sound! Euphonium anime. Sound Euphonium season 3 will be about Kumiko’s third year in high school and will air in 2024. At the same time, the “Ensemble Concert” arc will get a “medium-length anime” next year.

The anime for the Ensemble Concert arc will have both a Blu-ray Disc and a theatrical run. The story’s band (represented by the company’s real-life band Progressive! Wind Orchestra) is performing summer concerts on August 13th and 14th at Tokyo’s Line Cube in Shibuya. At this time, it is unknown if there will be a live stream for the concerts.

“Sound Euphonium“: A Musical and Beautiful Story

The story for Sound Euphonium is described as

The first 13-episodes of the Sound Euphonium anime aired in April 2015. Many praised the anime’s art style and music as one of the heavy hitters for that season. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, with Ponycan releasing the series on home video. The anime and its popularity then inspired the Hibiki! Euphonium Movie 1 in April 2016. The second season of Sound! Euphonium premiered in October 2016. The same studio, voice cast, and distributor handled the series for western release. That was then followed by another compilation film in September 2017.

As of now, there is not an official release date for the Sound Euphonium anime’s season 3 other than 2023.
