I hope you’re ready, South Park fans because the train keeps on coming. South Park has been riding pretty high the last year. With a major Paramount+ deal giving them even more space to roam free on ideas, there’s been no shortage of content. Additionally, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have no shortage of funding for the show. Recently, they were renewed for six more seasons! Most recently, of course, comes a delightful promo video for South Park‘s season 25 premiere. To commemorate their silver anniversary, the creators did something special. They made an orchestral performance of one famous song about Kyle’s Mom in the South Park season promo video.

For A Show Like South Park, The Zingers Keep Coming

The thing about South Park that makes it so great is its incredible ability to satirize the world and its current events. Ever since season 1, they’ve been poking holes in scandals and hot button issues. One of the most famous and currently relevant topics is the censorship wave that swept the nation years ago. With their take came the idea for the twenty-year-old South Park movie. And, of course, the beginning of Kyle’s Mom jokes. It’s because of this that the season 25 promo brought it back in spectacular fashion. Some believe the joke, which came from season 1, episode 9, is when the show started to hit its mark. Whether that’s the case or not, it hasn’t shown signs of slowing since.

With the return of season 25 comes a return to normalcy for the South Park boys. The last two Paramount-exclusive specials saw them dealing with the aftermath of COVID. But now, the gang will be returning to full-on seasons at Comedy Central. And boy, do they have a lot to work with based on current events. As is expected, the return has come suddenly but will surely be just as strong. After all, Stone and Parker are old hands at last-minute masterpieces.

South Park‘s 25th season will premiere on February 2nd on Comedy Central. A streaming release to HBO Max will follow soon after. Here’s to five, or even twenty-five, more years with the boys.
