First reviews remarked how God of War is going to be an impressive showcase, under every possible perspective, of what PlayStation 4 is able to deliver nowadays.

This hasn’t gone unnoticed, as creative director Cory Barlog already celebrated the early, very positive coverage on Twitter saying thanks to the main actors in the cast, and saying that “we’ve done great things”.

One more enthusiastic opinion comes from Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, who – as he often does – has issued a tweet praising competitor’s game and sending his congratulations to both the developer Santa Monica Studio and the publisher Sony in the person of Shuhei Yoshida.

“Congrats @SonySantaMonica @yosp on the review scores and the upcoming launch of God of War,” Spencer, who’s the boss at Xbox, said in his message. “Looks like a great launch for the franchise, great job.” Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, instantly added his own “congrats. Looks like a winner.”

To these tweets, Shuhei Yoshida, who is Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios’ chairman, answered with a “thanks Phil” echoed by Santa Monica Studio official Twitter account’s “thank you.”

It’s always nice to see how people from different and competing companies can discuss their passions like this, and hopefully Spencer has just earned a free signed copy of the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive title!

Congrats @SonySantaMonica @yosp on the review scores and the upcoming launch of God of War. Looks like a special launch for the franchise, great job.
