(This article will contain MAJOR SPOILERS for Spider-Man: Far From Home. So, if you have not seen the movie yet, it is highly recommended that you leave this page until you have. You have been warned.)

Spider-Man: Far From Home is already breaking records, showing that “superhero fatigue” has yet to set in after the emotional rollercoaster that was Avengers: Endgame. After the insane events that happened in Far From Home and its mid/post-credits scenes, Marvel fans are already looking towards what’s next for Spidey and who will end up as his next main villain. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home director Jon Watts has chimed in, revealing who he would pick to face off with the web-head in the next movie.

While talking to Uproxx, Watts discussed wanting to use villains the Spider-Man films have never featured before:

Watts then revealed who he would pick if the decision were completely up to him:

It is very important to note that this isn’t any sort of confirmation that Kraven will appear in the next Spidey movie. It’s just a character Jon Watts would love to see face off against Peter Parker. Far From Home is only a week into theaters, after all. Still, it is exciting to see that Far From Home has generated this much hype and speculation for Phase 4 already. Since that mindblowing mid-credits scene, fans have been wildly theorizing on who will be in the next film ranging from Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to the Sinister Six (who were teased in Homecoming).

Wouldn’t that be just astonishing. https://t.co/qqgWhy8Dlr

With these MCU Marvel Spidey films, it seems that Marvel and Sony are aiming to use villains not used before on the big screen. Kraven the Hunter certainly fits that bill, especially if the plan is to develop an MCU version of the Sinister Six. Hopefully, the plans for the future of the Spider-Man character are revealed sooner rather than later.
