Fans have been clamoring for the first trailer for Far From Home since SuperBroMovies broke the news about the trailer’s release date. Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man, went to Twitter to address the fans’ desire for a trailer:

Less than 24 hours later, Sony Pictures and Marvel released the official trailer (or teaser trailer?) shown above.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will follow Peter Parker on a trip with his friends across Europe. Leaving his suit behind, Peter just wants to hang out with his friends and spend some time with MJ (Zendaya). However, a visit from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) changes everything as Peter is tasked with stopping the deadly Elementals. Along with Fury, it appears that Spider-Man will get some help from the usually villainous Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal).

In the comics, Mysterio, otherwise known as Quentin Beck, was special-effects artist turned super-villain. Used as both a serious threat and comedic relief over the years, Mysterio has always remained as one of Spider-Man’s most notable foes. Although he appears to be helping Spider-Man in Far From Home, don’t be too shocked to see him betray Fury and Peter by the movie’s end.

Along with the trailer, Sony Pictures also revealed this poster to go along with the film:
