Spider-Man: No Way Home projections are finally in. After the film surpassed Fandango ticket sales, Box Office Pro estimates the movie to make $200 million USD opening weekend. If the film is able to make this, it will be the highest-grossing pandemic era film so far. Predictions also put the multi-universe trilogy ender even as going toe-to-toe with MCU’s highest-grossing film (Avengers: Endgame).

However, Box Office Pro suggested a change in their projections. This is due to potential “volatility and shifting consumer habits”. They then reference films like Dune and No Time to Die, where early ticket sales were strong but then dropped. However, the website also noted that ticket sales for Spider-Man: No Way Home have remained strong since going on sale on “Spider Monday”. Their first three-day Spider-Man: No Way Home projections sit at around $190 to $250 million. On their chart for projections, it shows Spider-Man: No Way Home rising 41%.

These predictions came from the media traction and ticket pre-orders for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The website then says, “across the board, the trilogy-capper generated early demand ahead of every pandemic era release. It is on part with pre-pandemic mega-blockbusters in the Avengers and Star Wars franchises.” The website also hints that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the first film since the end of the pandemic to make over $100 million USD.

Spider-Man’s social media traction has been active to the same extent as Avengers: Endgame. Most of these discussions appear to be about predictions of Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s possible features in the multiverse hosting film. Still, though, both actors’ involvement in the films is unconfirmed.

As of now, the website also says that they will update the film’s projections over the next two weeks all the way until its release.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in theaters on December 17.
