With the announcement of the release date and the multiple editions coming digitally and at selected retailers, Sony and Insomniac Games have started to unravel the details about their post-launch support for Spider-Man on PS4.

In particular, in a post published on PlayStation Blog, community lead James Stevenson has announced that the developer has planned a “post-launch DLC series” called “The City That Never Sleeps”, which will span on multiple chapters to be released in the future.

The City That Never Sleeps will feature three “new STORY chapters” that will be provided as part of the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition versions of the game and will come with new gameplay content like suits, villains, and characters.

“That’s right,”, Stevenson claims on PlayStation Blog, “we’ll be supporting the game post-launch and you’ll be getting three new chapters each with new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man. More details on that a bit later down the road.”

From the looks of it, Insomniac Games has put a lot of attention and care into crafting the game’s villains, as at this stage we not only don’t know those who are going to be included in the DLC, but even those in the main story are still under wraps.

Spider-Man is releasing on PS4 and PS4 Pro on September 7, 2018.
