Insomniac Games, the developer behind the original Spyro the Dragon games and the Ratchet & Clank series, have been working with Marvel to create a PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man game, working title Spider-Man PS4, for some time now. Recently, we got a new detail about the game in regards to how big the map will be. While answering questions submitted by fans on Twitter, one fan asked how big the game’s open world will be. Insomniac responded that the game’s recreation of New York City will be “several times larger than Sunset City,” which is the open world city in Insomniac’s Xbox One-exclusive Sunset Overdrive. So it’ll be pretty big.

Insomniac Games released an extensive gameplay trailer of the game at this year’s E3 which showed off the game’s use of an Arkham Asylum-like combat system and quicktime events. We also saw that the villain Mr. Negative will play a seemingly important role. While the playable Spider-Man in the game is Peter Parker, the end of the trailer also teased that Miles Morales may have a part to play in the game. Spider-Man PS4 is set to release at an unspecified date in 2018.
