Merge Games and Infuse Studio’s Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition will be launching digitally in early 2021 for the Xbox Series X|S. The Enhanced Edition will give players two Xbox exclusive skins (Auburn and White Marble), a 4K 60FPS experience, and other graphical improvements. Spirit of the North is an indie adventure game that offers an emotional and “fulfilling” single-player experience.
Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition – Features
Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition features beautiful Iceland-inspired environments and a story derived from Nordic folklore. Players take on the role of a fox who is accompanied by The Guardian of the Northern Lights in the form of a “magical spirit fox.” Spirit of the North takes the player on an emotional adventure through ice-capped mountains, riverbeds, and ruins of a long-gone civilization. As the fox progresses through its journey, the player will learn more about their mysterious companion and the land they’re exploring. Indeed, it is a journey of “companionship and discovery.”
The game offers various environmental puzzles for the player to solve. There will be no dialogue or narration to help you, however. Players will have to immerse themselves in the landscape in order to complete the puzzles and piece together the history of a “lost ancient civilization.”
Spirit of the North also features an orchestral soundtrack of 14 original compositions to accompany the stunning visuals.

Merge is an indie game publisher based in Manchester, United Kingdom. They publish interactive software for PC and consoles. Merge also publishes collectible retail games for indie developers.
Infuse Studio is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is run by a “two-man” show in Tayler Christensen and Jacob Sutton. They provide 3D assets through Unreal marketplace and Cuberush. In 2019, this duo created the indie adventure game in the Spirit of the North.
