As the Spiritfarer, your day-to-day involves ferrying the recent deceased. While it may not be the most glamorous job, it is vital to the synergy of all worlds. You are Stella, the ferrymaster, a being of legend and extreme importance. Many have written about you, but none will meet with you until they see the face of Death.

Spiritfarer Out Now

Spiritfarer is a title by Thunder Lotus Games. Like their previous titles, this one also uses a 2D perspective. Along with the simple design of the game come eye-popping colors. As Stella, the ferrymaster, how the boat looks is up to you. Craft the proper vessel to transport spirits across the magic seas of the afterlife.

Spirits do more than pass on in Spiritfarer. They eat, sleep, dream, and consume food just like one would if they were living. As Stella, you can also tend to a farm and harvest the fruits of your labor. One can also mine, fish, and cook on top of that. Do you not feel like going at it solo? Ask a friend to join you and they can take control of Daffodil the Cat. The journey to the afterlife is never easy, so it’s always good to be able to bring a friend. Remember that you will eventually have to say goodbye to the spirits who accompany you.

Spiritfarer comes in two versions: the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. Standard delivers only the base game. But the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with both an OST (original soundtrack) and a digital artbook. The Standard Edition comes with an MSRP of $29.99 USD and the Digital Deluxe Edition with an MSRP of $39.97 USD.

Spiritfarer is out now for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.
