Developer Thunder Lotus Games announced today that its ‘cozy management game about dying,’ Spiritfarer, reached a milestone of 500,000 copies sold worldwide since launching to critical acclaim last summer, making the game the studio’s most successful effort to date. That’s not all. To mark the occasion, Thunder Lotus is launching the first slice of Spiritfarer DLC, the Lily Update, today. The update is the first of three planned for 2021, as detailed in a road map released last month.

Spiritfarer – Lily Update

Thunder Lotus notes that work is ongoing to push out ‘more gameplay heavy Spiritfarer updates later this year, explaining that it aims to respond to one of the most requested additions among Spiritfarer fans with the Lily Update.

Alongside Lily, the update introduces co-op fishing, a new atmosphere for character Buck’s event, a co-op assignment screen, ferry travel at night thanks to Lily’s guiding light, and a few choice quality of life improvements.

The Spiritfarer Lily Update is available to download for free for all existing owners of the game on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Google Stadia.
