Spiritfarer developer Thunder Lotus Games announced today it is teaming up with iam8bit and Skybound Games to release physical editions of the acclaimed cozy afterlife management sim. The Spiritfarer physical copies are set to land on July 27th on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, setting fans back $29.99/€29.99 and $34.99/€34.99, respectively.
Alongside a physical copy of the game, these versions also include a 96-page digital art book, a sticker stamp set featuring locations from the game, six collectible postcard pack, and a digital download copy of the game’s superb soundtrack. Pre-orders for the Spiritfarer physical editions are available from today from select retailers across the globe, as well as iam8bit’s website.
The involved parties have pieced together a trailer to mark the announcement, which showcases the physical editions alongside another look at Spiritfarer’s gorgeous art style.
Spiritfarer Vinyl On The Way
Additionally, iam8bit, a company known for producing coveted game goodies and apparel, is releasing a 2xLP vinyl of the Spiritfarer soundtrack and a ‘robust’ Collector’s Edition of the game. There are no details yet on what the Collector’s Edition includes, but iam8bit’s track record suggests it should be quite the treat.
The award-winning game first launched digitally back in August last year, soaring past half a million copies sold as of April 2021. Thunder Lotus Games recently released the first of three content updates planned for this year, dubbed The Lily Update.
Once again, the Spiritfarer physical editions arrive on July 27th for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
