Splatoon 2’s latest wave of DLC is available, and this is the game’s biggest yet. The Octo Expansion is out now on Nintendo Switch, and the $20 add-on brings over 80 new single-player levels with it, as well as the ability to play in multiplayer matches as one of the new Octoling characters.

The Octo Expansion tells the story of an Octoling named Agent 8, who’s forced explore a mysterious underground test facility. You can play as a male or female character who’s lost their memory, and as you sweep through the massive amount of new content, those memories will slowly start coming back. There’s a ton to do, and if you’re not convinced, consider the fact that the original game actually had only 32 single-player missions to complete, so the Octo Expansion gives you over double that.

Luckily, you have plenty of tricks and weapons at your disposal to get up and through those missions, which range from inventive to downright frustrating as you work through Agent 8’s story. If 80 missions seems like a lot, there’s an option at a certain point throughout the game where you can continue the story and return to finish them later, so Nintendo has thought of everything with this expansion, in terms of accessibility.

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into Splatoon 2 after taking a break or something like that, the Octo Expansion is a great reason to jump back in, especially with the new character additions for multiplayer. It’s up for grabs right now, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
