Nintendo has released update 1.2.1 for Splatoon 3, and you can read all of the improvements in the detailed patch notes. The update is live now and available for anyone who owns the game. The main focus of patch 1.2.1 is to fix the issues that arose in the 1.2.0 update, particularly with the Rainmaker game mode and multiplayer. This includes issues with the player placing the Rainmaker, the goal distance count, and the inkrail.

Splatoon 3 Update 1.2.1 Patch Notes

Fixes to Multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue in Rainmaker that caused the player who placed the Rainmaker on a checkpoint to appear motionless to other players.
  • Fixed an issue in Rainmaker where the goal distance count would go to 1 even when the Rainmaker had not reached the goal.
  • Fixed an issue where, if you got on an inkrail while using the Inkjet or Zipcaster, allies Super Jumping towards you would land at the start point of the inkrail instead of the intended location.

Note: Battle replays are compatible with Ver. 1.2.0 but are not compatible with Ver. 1.1.2 and before.

Splatoon 3 Update 1.20 Patch Notes

Update 1.2.1 for Splatoon 3 is a much smaller patch than the recent 1.2.0 update, which included many bug fixes and improvements to communication. However, this update will help players enjoy their multiplayer experience more, particularly while playing the Rainmaker mode.

Splatoon 3 is currently available as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. It is a third-person shooter than can be played both single-player or online. You can choose to be either an Inkling or Octoling and will use a wide variety of weapons that shoot colored ink. There are several different game modes you can play, including Turf War, Salmon Run, and Tableturf Battle, a mode that is new to the series.

You can keep up to date on future Splatoon 3 and see what previous updates added on Nintendo’s official website.
