Split Polygon has just announced a new partnership with publisher Iceberg Interactive for the full release of Interstellar Rift. Interstellar Rift is a Space simulation game that is currently available for early access on steam. They have also released a new trailer you can watch below, with that said here is everything you need to know about Interstellar rift.

About Interstellar Rift 

Interstellar Rift is a first-person space simulation game, wherein the game the goal is to build and pilot your very own ship and command it’s crew while fighting a dangerous race that is threatening to take over the galaxy. Players in Interstellar Rift will have to band together to beat these invaders before they become a serious threat to their enterprises. Some of the key features of gameplay include the following.

  • Build your own spaceship with a versatile and powerful ship editor.
  • Engage in challenging combat with other players against a hostile alien race.
  • Trade and mine for resources across various solar systems.
  • Make strategic alliances with various factions in space.
  • Explore and survive a vast, yet dangerous universe together with your crew.

Many features were also added while Interstellar Rift was in early access; some of the features include the following. Players can join several factions that will suit their particular gameplay style, one for pirates, mining, combat, and trading. Faction system events were also added while in early access that can be completed to either weaken a faction’s power or increase it. Many different types of weapons were added to the game, such as lasers and torpedo launchers. A hacking system was also added while in early access, this system allows players to hack enemy ships or to protect their own ship from hacks by upgrading their firewall. The game, while in early access, also had a tool crafting system involving 3d printers added where players can craft tools, items, and even weapons.

When can we expect an Interstellar full release?

An exact date has yet to be announced for the full release of  Interstellar Rift; however, we can be fully sure that the game will be finished as Erik Schreuder the CEO of Iceberg Interactive had the following to say:
