Sports Story is a quirky adventure RPG that uses a unique theme — which, as you can guess, yes, it’s about sports. Just like many other RPGs in the market, this game will also task you with completing tons of Quests or Tasks in order to progress through the game. Some are easy, and some are pretty simple to accomplish, but the explanation is kind of tricky or not clear enough. One of the latter Tasks is the “Kick 5 Goals” Task you have to clear in Rustling Vale. This guide will tell you how to complete the “Kick 5 Goals” Task with pine cones in Sports Story.

How to Kick Goals with Pine Cones in Sports Story

The “Kick 5 Goals” Task you get in Rustling Vale has to be cleared in order to get the second license stamp in the punchcard and find the Bauer Family Farm. The objective is obvious enough, just kick a pine cone (as a substitute for a soccer ball) and get five goals. But where do you find the goal?

Apparently, all you have to do is bring some pine cones to the big, locked, dark gray gate to the north of the area and kick them to the gate. You can kick the same pine cone up to three times before they are gone, and you have to use another one. Kicking a pine cone to the side or to the bird will not count, though.

Thankfully, you can still complete this task even if the gate is already down. Just kick the pine cones through the open gate, and it somehow works. I assume it’s because the Task “trigger/flag” is in the area of the gate instead of the gate itself. If you still need help completing this task, you can watch BattleBunny’s video guide below.

Sports Story is now available on Nintendo Switch.
