Kadokawa has revealed that the television adaptation of Spy Classroom will premiere in 2023. The company also revealed a visual, a promotional video, and additional cast members for the series. This follows up on their initial announcement for the series back in April.
Sora Amamiya and Yuichiro Umehara are reprising their roles as Lilly and Klaus. These are the roles they both played during the promotional video and the bonus voice drama for the novels. Additional cast members from the novel CDs are also reprising their roles. Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Higurashi: When They Cry- GOU) is directing the anime. Studio feel is behind the animation for the upcoming Spy Classroom anime. Shinichi Inotsume (Platnium End) is in charge of the series composition, and Sumie Kinoshita is in charge of character design.
Spy Classroom: Another Soon-to-be Anime Hit From the Spy Genre
Yen Press is currently publishing the light novels and their manga adaptation in English. The story for Spy Classroom is described as:
Takemichi first launched the light novel series with illustrations by Tomari in January 2020. As of March 2022, the series currently has seven volumes. There are also two collections of short side stories. Kaname Seu then launched the manga adaptation in Kadokawa’s Comic Alive magazine in May 2020. Currently, both the light novels and the manga are still being updated and published.
Currently, Spy Classroom is set to broadcast in Japan in 2023. As of now, there is no Western schedule for the Spy Classroom anime.
