Spyro fans will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the upcoming Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The developer behind the trilogy has just confirmed via a blog post that the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been delayed from September 21, 2018, to November 13, 2018.

Toys for Bob Studio head Paul Yan informed the fans that the development work on the game is going pretty smooth, it’s just that the team needs an extra bit of development time to polish the game and deliver a game that fans deserve. You can read the full statement of Paul Yan below.

“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”

Activision also released a statement on Spyro Reignited Trilogy delay: the development team is “deeply committed to getting these games right” and that the delay is because “the Trilogy needs more love and care.”
