Crunchyroll announced Monday that it would begin streaming the SPYxFamily anime English dub this Saturday. The dub will also premiere early on Crunchyroll’s Twitch channel on Friday at 4:00 p.m. EDT.
The French and German dubs for the SPYxFamily anime will also premiere on Saturday. Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese dubs will be available on April 23rd.
As of now, the English dub for the cast includes:
- Alex Organ- Loid/Agent Twilight
- Natalie Van Sistine- Yor
- Megan Shipman- Anya
- Anthony Bowling- Franky
The SPYxFamily anime first premiered on Crunchyroll on April 9th. It will run for two separate quarters of the year with a total of 25 episodes. As of now, Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan. Lastly, WIT Studios, known for Attack on Titan 1-3, Vinland Saga, and Seraph of the End, is animating the series.
SPYxFamily Dub: The Story Behind the Anime
In regards to the manga, Viz Media is publishing the manga in English and distributing it. The story for SPYxFamily is described as:
Tatsuya Endo’s first launched the Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in March 2019. The 9th and final volume was published on April 4th. As of now, Shueisha is offering the manga in English on Manga Plus on the same day. Viz has also added manga to its app as of now.
Twilight takes on the identity of Loid Forger, and starts looking for family members. But Anya, the daughter he adopts, has the ability to read minds. His wife Yor, is assassin. With it being in their own interest to keep these facts hidden, they start living together while concealing their true identities from one another.
