In 2017, Square Enix, Crystal Dynamic, and Marvel announced that they were partnering together to develop an Avengers game. Two years later and there hasn’t been much information on the Avengers project other than a few rumors here and there. That was until today. Square Enix announced (via a Twitter account called @PlayAvengers) that the game, titled Marvel’s Avengers, will be revealed at E3 2019:

Tune into Square Enix Live E3 2019 for the worldwide reveal of Marvel’s Avengers.

For years, fans have been clamoring for a good Avengers game. With the monumental success of Avengers: Endgame still in everyone’s mind and Insomniac’s Spider-Man releasing to almost universal praise late last year, now is the best time to unveil this game to the world.

Square Enix’s return at E3 2018 after years away from the expo was seen as a dud due to the lack of any new titles shown. Having Marvel’s Avengers be one of the focal points of their 2019 E3 conference is a great move and it should be one of the more anticipated games coming out of the Electronic Entertainment Expo next month. You can check out their conference on June 10th at 6 PM PST.

With E3 season in full force, it is going to be up to the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and Bethesda to put on a good showing this year. That’s due to the likes of PlayStation and EA skipping the event. Sony is set to miss the expo entirely and EA will not be hosting their typical conference. Instead, they will be hosting EA Play live streams just before E3 2019. There will be live streams for Apex Legends, Battlefield, Madden, FIFA, The Sims, and Jedi: Fallen Order. All of that will start Saturday, June 8th at 9:15 AM PST.
