Typically not having too much of a presence at events like this, Nintendo showed up big time at The Game Awards 2014 tonight, with the first true gameplay footage of The Legend of Zelda Wii U in tow. During the segment that featured Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma, we actually got one little piece of information about the title Miyamoto himself is currently working on, Star Fox.

When Aonuma confirmed that The Legend of Zelda Wii U was still coming in 2015, Miyamoto then changed gears quickly to Star Fox. While it wasn’t much, he confirmed that Star Fox Wii U would be coming prior to The Legend of Zelda Wii U in 2015. This is both a little surprising and not really at the same time.

Zelda is likely slated for the typical November Nintendo release, but at the same time, we have seen almost nothing of Star Fox that is in development, but have now seen Zelda for the second time. If we are going to be seeing Star Fox earlier in 2015, it could be assumed that we likely will see something more out of it in the near future, perhaps in one of the upcoming Nintendo Directs even? However, for now, we will just have to wait until they are really to show off the game officially.
