Star Fox Zero is only a little over a month and a half away from release and last week’s Nintendo Direct finally brought us some new details about the game. That is not the only information we have gotten though, as one very interesting piece of information has been revealed that helps tie this new entry to the Nintendo 64 classic.

There has been a good bit of controversy since Star Fox Zero’s showing at E3 last year with the very unconventional control scheme. After initially not liking it, USGamer got a chance to play the game again recently and found out some interesting information about the game’s voice acting.

From their experience with the game, they revealed that all of the original voice actors will be back from Star Fox 64. There obviously wasn’t too much in the way of voice acting on the Nintendo 64, but it’s still great to see some continuity in that department.

Nintendo has already said that Star Fox Zero is neither a reboot or a sequel to Star Fox 64, but bringing back all the voice actors helps keep that connection regardless. With this reveal, one has to imagine we’ll probably get Peppy telling Fox to do a barrel roll at some point now.

Look for Star Fox Zero to arrive next month exclusively for Wii U on April 22.
