Star Ocean fans have a little bit to celebrate with the upcoming entry in the franchise, Star Ocean: Anamnesis. Sure, it may be just a mobile game, but it still looks pretty cool.
If the trailer is to be believed, it looks like Star Ocean: Anamnesis will be bringing the combat system that Star Ocean fans have become acquainted with to iOS and Android. The combat looks fast paced and varied with several different characters and an array of enemies to take on. It looks like it has potential to be quite fun. Hopefully the game will not suffer the age-old ‘pay to win’ affliction of many mobile titles. Check out the trailer below.
The game is a celebration of the 2oth anniversary of the series an will feature characters from all the previous entries in the franchise as well as music from acclaimed series composer Motoi Sakuraba. When released later this year, it will be completely free to play with microtransations. So far it has only been announced for Japan, but hopefully it will make it’s way west.
