Paramount Pictures were happy with the social media reactions that they put forward the review embargo for Star Trek Beyond. The reviews are now out online and a lot of critics love the movie.

As you can see by visiting Rotten Tomatoes, Star Trek Beyond has an 88 percent approval rating from critics. 24 reviews have been collected so far. 21 reviewers give it a thumbs up while only 3 people gave it a thumbs down.

There’s no critics consensus written yet, but many of the blurbs tell us how good the movie potentially is. Many praise the action sequences as they compare it to Justin Lin’s previous Fast and Furious movies. However, the action does not overpower the whole film as there is great humor and chemistry with the cast.

Whether or not this film will appeal to true Star Trek fans remains to be seen. Into Darkness has an 86 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes yet Trekkies voted that as the worst film in the entire series.

Everyone else will just have to wait until July 22nd, 2016 to see for themselves how good Star Trek Beyond really is. As of right now though, it looks like it could be an entertaining ride into space.
