Today, Cryptic Studios announced the next major Season 26 update for their free-to-play MMORPG Star Trek Online. The announcement for season 26 was made at Star Trek: Mission Chicago, one of the largest fan gatherings for the Star Trek universe. The newest season for the Cryptic Studios game will launch on PC on May 10th and Xbox and PlayStation in June.

With the end of last season comes a new adventure

At the end of last season’s episode, “Red Shift,” players had discovered that the individual they had been searching for was Lieutenant Ilia from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Now players will get the chance to see out on another adventure.

With the release of season 26, “Stormfall,” fans of the MMORPG will see a new chapter that sends captains on a rescue mission. Next, head out into the Mirror Universe alongside epic characters, including Admiral Janeway, voiced by Kate Mulgrew, and an Andorian rebel named Rae-Yeet, voiced by Noah Averbach-Katz. Lastly, players will team up with former enemy-turned-ally Admiral Leeta, voiced by Chase Masterson.

Together, everyone will work to stop the Terran forces led by the dread Captain Killy, voiced by Mary Wiseman. Race against time to stop Captain Kill and her forces from reawakening a dangerous nemesis.

Stormfall will also introduce a new 5-player ground task force operation and a special event that allows players to earn new rewards for playing through the latest content.
