In an announcement today, Dramatic Lab has shared it will have to delay the launch of Star Trek: Resurgence. The game that had been previously slated for release sometime this year, 2022, will now be released in April 2023. The developers shared this news today via their Twitter handle.
Why Star Trek: Resurgence Launch will Delay
According to the Twitter announcement, Dramatic Lab regretfully shared their decision to postpone the release day for the game. The publication read that the team of developers has decided to change the day to offer them ample time to polish the game.
The tweet also added that due to the team’s passion for Star Trek, they would not be quick in releasing the sequel until they create a masterpiece. For this reason, Dramatic Lab had to extend the development period to accommodate all maintenance processes that the game needs.

“Production has been advancing steadily all summer, but we have made the difficult decision to move our release date out of 2022 in order to give the game a final coat of polish and create a truly immersive Star Trek: Resurgence experience,” reads the statement.
Although the news is disappointing, fans seemingly understand the changes. Many players have offered their okays to the developers for their decision and reasons. To the Star Trek community, patience for quality is a virtue they are true to.
Similarly, the fanbase has congratulated the developers’ team for making such a decision. Many publishers have been releasing games with glitches and bugs, creating an uncomfortable gaming experience that sometimes leads to some games shutting down. Therefore, seeing that Dramatic Lab is taking its time to produce one of its best unique games is event players are praising.
Now, Star Trek: Resurgence will release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC on April 2023. The game had been scheduled for release this year via Epic Games Store. It is now official, Star Trek:Resurgence will be available at the same store for purchase and download on April 2023.
